Uniform California Earthquake Rupture Forecast http://www.scec.org/ucerf/ has more details on this.

However earthquake prediction methods are not very accurate and hence sometimes they generate false positives too. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthquake_prediction)

Take a look at this: http://quake.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Maps/Los_Angeles.html

This clearly shows that earthquakes of small magnitude keep happening almost all the time. We can either be paranoid about it or be prepared and keep our cool. Wikipedia has information on safety measures for earthquake prone geographies - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Household_seismic_safety.

Be sure Wine is configured as Windows XP (from the Wine applications menu) - new installs may default to Windows 2000 mode, which won't permit the installation. Changing this setting let Evernote install just fine. Crashes when trying to create an ink note, though, which is a bummer.

I did that about a month ago and it has worked without issues. Now, however, I tried to install the upgrade to 3.0.592 beta and I got an Installshield error message saying that I needed either Windows Vista or XP. I think I will uninstall the earlier version and reisntall the latest - unless someone has another idea.
